Gangkhar wins “Insurtech – Tech Enabler of the Year" at the 2026 AIP Awards
The recognition from the Alianza Insurtech Panamericana highlights Gangkhar’s work in applying technology to real insurance challenges with greater efficiency and scalability across Latin America.
The award marks an important milestone for Gangkhar and reflects the work being done across the company to address some of the operational challenges that continue to limit how quickly and efficiently insurance can grow.
A regional award for technology with practical impact
The third edition of the AIP Awards took place on September 17, 2026, during the Mexico Insurtech Summit. The awards received more than 60 applications from across Latin America, spanning categories focused on technology, distribution, business models, transformation and social impact.
Gangkhar was selected as the winner in the Tech Enabler category. In its official announcement, the Alianza Insurtech Panamericana recognized Gangkhar for applying technology to concrete industry challenges with greater efficiency and scalability.
That description goes directly to the heart of what Gangkhar is building.
Insurance growth still depends on a complex combination of product rules, capacity, compliance, servicing, claims, payments, distribution and operational execution. Technology can simplify much of that complexity, but only when it is designed around the realities of insurance operations.
Gangkhar is building insurance infrastructure and agentic capabilities that help insurers, brokers, MGAs and digital distribution partners launch and operate protection more efficiently, without turning every new product, market or distribution relationship into another large operational project.
Three nominations, one broader ambition
The award comes after Gangkhar was named a finalist in three AIP Awards categories in 2026: Tech Enabler, Insurtech of the Year, and Project with Social and/or Environmental Impact.
The three nominations reflect different dimensions of the same ambition. The technology category recognizes the infrastructure and operating capabilities behind the platform. The social and environmental impact nomination reflects the potential of embedded protection to reach people and communities that may otherwise have limited access to relevant insurance.
The Insurtech of the Year nomination recognizes the broader progress of the business and its contribution to the ecosystem. Together, they point to a simple objective: make insurance easier to operate, easier to distribute and more relevant to the people and businesses it is designed to protect.
Recognition from across the Latin American Insurtech ecosystem
The Alianza Insurtech Panamericana is a regional network that brings together Insurtech associations from Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Argentina. According to AIP, the network connects more than 300 organizations across the Latin American insurance and Insurtech ecosystem.
The 2026 winners were selected by a jury of 23 industry experts representing different markets and profiles across the insurance ecosystem. The evaluation and voting process was audited by Dentons to support the transparency, independence and rigor of the selection.
For Gangkhar, receiving this recognition at a regional level is especially meaningful as the company continues expanding its work across Latin America and other markets.
A recognition for the work behind the technology
This award is also a recognition of the people behind the technology.
Every insurance programme involves product work, operations, regulatory requirements, integrations, partner coordination and many decisions that customers will never see. Bringing those pieces together is what ultimately allows protection to feel simple at the point where it is offered.
The recognition belongs to the entire Gangkhar team and to the partners who continue building alongside us.
